Hi Roger, thanks again for the compliments, both here and in the other thread. Unfortunately, I've been too busy at my day job to have time to work on Blockhouse 2. But I haven't given up on the project. Hopefully, all of this waiting will stir up a MEDIA FRENZY when it's finally released.

Are there plans to release a Blockhouse 2? I can't take it much longer, just kidding. Last time I commented it was on the graphics, they were great. Was wondering have you ever thought of making them "metallic-like." Not the ugly flat metal colors, but the "Kandy Coats" you see on custom hot rods at diners and car shows. Some with flake, and some with a "60's" feel or even a graffiti-like touch! In all the colors that one could fathom. Heck, that's the sole reason I bought and buy games in some cases, the art and graphics. Anyway, hope your well and may your days be blessed!

[...] Uptown turned out to be a quick tile and grid sort of game. Letters and numbers line each side of the grid, not unlike in Battleship. The grid is sub-divided into nine squares, the constituent squares of which each have a different icon. Players have a pool of tiles, one for each letter, number and icon on the board. During the game, players place tiles on the grid according to the type. The 3 tile, for instance, can go anywhere on the 3 column of squares, A can go anywhere on the A row and the street light tile can go anywhere in the sub-square of street light icons.
Kory, your game is on my iphone's "elite page." It sits alongside with Trism and Edge (no longer available here in the U.S.). My question to you is, when will we see Blockhouse 2? Please tell me your 85% or more done or that its hitting the app store this month, I can't wait any longer!

Yea, done.

Some random notes:
My last few levels were 83, 89 and finally 81. Level 81 wasn't really that hard, but I though it was going to take longer than it actually did.

IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, level 94.

I thought Level 100 was going to be the granddaddy of them all. I mean really... three pieces? It was no walk in the park, but it certainly wasn't the most difficult.

I'd be interested in hear which levels others thought were the most difficult.

Brainstorms for Blockhouse2:
- Multiple disconnected areas like 83, but with weirdly shaped pieces, a la 100.
- A few levels with the exact same board and piece starting positions but different goal positions.

Hi Kory,

I am a big fan of Blockhouse. In fact, I finished every level and posted about it quite a bit on Touch Arcade several months back.

I noticed that it has not had much attention since then, and I wanted to see if you were interested in offering it for free for a day or more through my new website, freeAppCalendar.com. Developers are seeing a revival in their app's success by using this site, and I thought Blockhouse might also benefit.

The site works by showing visitors a pool of apps (including yours once you register) to browse through and vote on. Every week, the apps with the most votes are chosen, and their developers make them free on a given day for 24 hours or more.

I highly recommend that you take a few minutes to read the Developer Info page and FAQ at http://www.freeAppCalendar.com/developers.php. This will explain how the site works, and how you can actually make more money by switching your app to free for a day or more. As it turns out, there are actually quite a few ways.

As one example, we've recently helped the game Pocket Boxing, which was far out of the top 200 in its categories, reach #3 Free Sports Game in the US charts and gain approximately 35,000 downloads in only two days.

I look forward to hearing from you soon, and feel free to email me to discuss any questions you might have.

Thanks Kory!
