Music
From 1994 to 1999, I was in a band called Black Market Beat (originally Black Market Blues). Our style of music was a mixture of blues, swing, rockabilly, and 50's rock-n-roll. We played once or twice a month at various spots around the Bay Area, and eventually we recorded a full-length CD. Sadly, the band broke up shortly after the CD project was finished—our bass player had decided to move back to Canada, and I'd decided to move to the East Coast.

the BLACKLIST
Back in the early days, when the band was still called Black Market Blues, we used to send out a monthly flyer called the BLACKLIST to our mailing list of a few dozen people. Our guitar player, Russell Barber, handled it for long time, but at the beginning of '96 he delegated the writing duties to me. After four months, we decided it wasn't worth the trouble, so we started sending out postcards instead. Recently, I came across the flyers I created during that brief time, and I thought they were kind of funny, so I've posted them here.
