He stepped gingerly through the doors and felt for a moment that he really was inside a giant fish. It was dark and cool in there, and the walls hummed with deep underwater noises. In spite of himself, he began to relax, and soon he was lost in the quiet undersea world.

Eventually he stumbled into the fossil room, in which all sorts of ancient creatures were on display. He wandered up to one of the glass cases, which contained a model of a bizarre-looking animal, along with a realistic copy of its fossilized remains. Below the case was a small plaque, which he read with interest. Here is what it said:

The Trilobite

The trilobite was a small, swimming creature in the ancient seas, a close cousin to the lobster and the crab. It has been extinct for over 30 million years.

Jonah blinked at this. Then he smiled wryly to himself.

"Fooled 'em again, God," he thought.
