Jonah was a Christian. This means that he believed all sorts of absurd things about God. Here are a few of them:

• God created the Universe in six days.
• He sent his son (who is really just himself in disguise) to die for the sins of humanity.
• He's coming back again real, real soon.
• Whoever doesn't believe this is going to burn.

And so on.

Don't be too hard on Jonah. I made him believe it. Besides, there are even people up here who believe that kind of stuff.

Hell, even I believed it once.
